This is interesting information. You know, I NEVER take my heart rate! Whether I'm resting or working out, I just don't care. However, you've made a good point about how it indicates how in shape you are. I should try it sometime, just to see. Thanks for the info!

I have a HR monitor too and I think it helps when you can see calories burned. If I am close to getting to 300 or 400 calories burned, I may just keep going to see how much I can do.

I thought I was working at an intense enough pace until my trainer introduced me to the idea of using my HR as a means of monitoring myself. I learned the very first day that I wasn't working hard enough. Within two weeks I lost 3 pounds, something I hadn't been able to do before.

Yeah I have the same problem sometimes. It really does help to just go do something relaxing instead of worrying.

Great tips! I sometimes lie in bed awake for a while. That is a good tip to go do something relaxing. It is so true that I get all anxious about not being able to fall asleep and it just makes it worse.

Great tips! I especially like the one about being social. Sometimes I find it hard to balance having a social life and still managing to be healthy, exercise, etc. It is important to remember to balance both. Sometimes I end up going out and drinking too much. I just try to get right back on track the next day and not feel guilty. I don't want to end up regretting not enjoying myself, you know. Thanks for sharing!

I was just doing some web browsing on my Nokia Phone during my lunch at my work place, and I came across something I thought was intriguing. It linked over to your website so I hopped over. I can't really find the relevance between your site and the one I came from, but your site good none the less .
